Question What do wise folks do when they hear a new proverb (or axiom)?   Practical help Solomon, reputed to be one of the wisest men who ever lived, had a hobby that actually enhanced this reputation: He collected proverbs — practical ideas stated in catchy ways. Example: Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow. (Proverbs 13:11) Whenever Solomon heard a good proverb, he added it to his collection.
