For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12. instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13. looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus; 14. who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Questions 1. Does Paul mean, in verse 11, that all men are saved, or that the Gospel has appeared so that all might be saved?   2. Who is the "us" mentioned in verse 12?   3. What should be the lifestyle of "us"?   4. Why should the "us" of verse 12 live in such a way (look at verses 13-14)?   Practical help If you wanted to market a vacation resort, how would you advertise it? If it were on a Caribbean island, you might show clean, sandy beaches, spectacular sunsets and couples taking slow walks under a full moon. You would want to portray the place in an honest but most appealing way, right? God has a beautiful spot reserved for eternal "vacations" that is out of this world! He wants people to spend their "forevers" there. How is He marketing that spot (we call it Heaven)? According to the verses above, His marketing tool is "us"! By the way we Christians conduct ourselves, we are walking advertisements for God’s forever vacation spot. As we "deny ungodliness and worldly desires," "live sensibly, righteously and godly" and "purify ourselves," we entice those around us to join us in Heaven. The absence of porn from your life will not only benefit you. It will be a powerful evangelistic tool to draw others to faith in Jesus Christ.
