Passage: Luke 9:23-25*

23. And He [Jesus] was saying to them all [the disciples], "If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

24. "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.

25. "For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself?"

Practical help

Have you personally considered who Jesus Christ was and is? Have you let His teachings into your mind, or are you still throwing up roadblocks? If you've embraced His teachings, you no doubt have experienced the excitement of considering His power. He can support you without any worldly props. He can feed multitudes effortlessly. Who doesn't want to be around someone like that?

In your gut you already know that pornography is holding you back from being free and effective in life. Jesus says, "Follow Me." Ask Him into your life (click here to find out how), then seek to know Him better daily. When you seek to follow Him you will in time lose the appetite for living a self-centered life.
