Questions

1. The apostle Paul writes with what assumption about his readers?

2. What does it mean to be "light in the Lord"?

3. What difference would you see in "being darkness" as opposed to being "in darkness"? Between being "in the light" and being "light"?

4. What does Paul assume that people who are light in the Lord are capable of doing?

Practical help

One of the assumptions of the eXXit editors is that pornography is a dark thing and that viewing it is a dark deed.

Recently, I walked out to my backyard (an area with which I am quite familiar!) and ran into a large planter, stubbing my big toe. Why? Because I was walking in the dark.

In the dark, we don't see obstacles right in front of us. We trip and fall. We lose our way.

When we view pornography we likewise fall — with dangerous and harmful consequences.

You are a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He has given you the resources to walk away from the darkness of porn. Jesus has called you into the light! (If you are not a Christian, or are unsure, click here.)

Avail yourself of God's Spirit through prayer, His Word as you learn Scripture, and His people as you open yourself up to trustworthy brothers, and you will find deliverance.
