Welcome to eXXit, the Web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

This series of three-minute Bible studies takes us to a short passage in the book of Job.

Passage: Job 31:1-4 (New International Version*)

1. I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl.

2. For what is man's lot from God above, his heritage from the Almighty on high?

3. Is it not ruin for the wicked, disaster for those who do wrong?

4. Does he not see my ways and count my every step?

Questions

1. Look up the word "covenant." What does it mean?

2. The temptation to look on another person with lustful eyes is strong. How did Job prepare himself before the opportunity for temptation arose?

3. How might a covenant (or promise) to yourself help change your direction when you browse the Web?

Practical help

If just thinking to yourself "I shouldn't be doing this" is insufficient to win the next battle with temptation, try making a covenant with your eyes.

Ask God to bind your covenant with the strength that only He can provide.
