Do you ever feel like web porn has got you snared (verse 15)?   Practical help The word fear usually invokes thoughts which aren't too comfortable. They are thoughts of being guilty, helpless, defenseless, cowardly or just plain scared. This kind of fear is often associated with something known to be bad or with something unknown. Why then, would God want you to fear Him? Because fear of God is not like the usual fear. The kind of fear God wants from you is more like an acknowledgment that you are often guilty, helpless, defenseless, cowardly and scared. It's bowing in awe of one whose purity radiates enough to melt you to nothing, but whose love and grace are bestowed so that you can become blameless, helpful, strong, courageous and fearless. If a struggle with web porn has you looking over your shoulder afraid of being caught, if it has you running scared from meaningful relationships, if it has you helplessly snared, try some new fear — fear God.
