"Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Will he not first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32. If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. 33. In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. Question If you struggle with pornography, do you often feel outnumbered? Maybe two temptations for every resistance effort?   Practical help So, have you been to the porn temptation battleline a few times? Have you been losing most of the time? Does it seem like you lose even when you rally an army of good intentions? Do the soldiers of righteous motivation always get mowed down? In any battle with a besetting sin you'll always be outnumbered if you army isn't lead by faith in the conqueror of all sin -- Jesus Christ. The interesting paradox in this war is you have to surrender to win. Surrender the hopeless efforts of winning in and of yourself in favor of the assurance that Jesus has already won for you.
