Practical help

When the shutters snap and the cameras roll in the porn industry, our future suffers from the overexposure. All of us have looked at some pornographic image at one time and thought, "I wish my wife/husband looked like that." Or even, "I wish that I looked like that." That’s envy, plain and simple.

News flash: God has no plans of granting our wishes. Instead, he wants to give us something better: a future. The lives we lead now, while perhaps not rivaling the airbrushed greatness of porn images, are the ones God gave us to enjoy to the fullest — not ones rotted by envy of people we don’t even know.

So the next time you want to swap places with some porn star, remember: The future you’re trading is your own.
