Passage: James 1:17-18*

17. Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.

James tells us in today’s passage that God is the:

When you are tempted to view Internet porn, remember who God is. Count on him to give you good gifts. Remember he dwells in glorious light. This speaks of his holiness and purity. And finally, remember that he never changes — so we must continually change and grow to be more like him.

If you have been saved, it has been through the cross of Jesus and His resurrection from the dead which have provided you with forgiveness from sin and a new eternal destiny.

God saved us for a wonderful purpose. He wants our lives to bear fruit. His intention is that our words, thoughts and actions would reflect his holiness, purity and love.

Next time you feel the urge to view Internet porn, remember your God, his salvation and wonderful plan for your life.
