Robbery Today's
Three-minute Bible Study
Read the following
Bible passage, then answer the short questions. Consider
the practical suggestions at the end of the
study. Passage:
Proverbs
1:10-16* 11. If they say, "Come along
with us; let's lie in wait for someone's blood, let's
waylay some harmless soul; 12. let's swallow them alive,
like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to
the pit; 13. we will get all sorts of
valuable things and fill our houses with
plunder; 14. throw in your lot with us,
and we will share a common purse" 15. my son, do not go along with
them, do not set foot on their paths; 16. for their feet rush into
sin, they are swift to shed blood. Questions 2. What will the victimizers get
from this action? 3. If the son (verse 10) joins
the plot, what will he have to do in order to get
something? 4. What are the victimizers'
attitude toward death? Practical
help 2. Whether the robbery could
result in someone's death (physical or
spiritual). 3. What robbery you'll have
to commit in order to get something from Web
porn. You can resist Web porn's
enticements by considering what happens to its
participants, especially you. Realize that, even as a
passive viewer, you're helping rob someone's virtue.
Then: 2. Ask God to help you stand
strong. 3. Ask a friend to stand with
you. With God's help, many people
have resisted the enticement to be a victimizer
through Web porn. They're cheering you on to resist
likewise. You can do it!

entice you, do not give in to them.
1. What is meant by
"swallow them alive, like the grave" (verse
12)?
Web porn is careless with
the lives of its participants. It's concerned only
with robbing what belongs to them. If you're enticed
to view web porn, consider:
1. Who and what
is being robbed (e.g., someone's morality,
self-esteem).
1. Ask God to help you
see Web porn for what it is robbery.
