How can it help us fight the temptation of Web porn?   Practical help The news broke last week that one of the stars of an upcoming reality TV series used to be a soft-core porn actor. Sigh. At times it seems like only a tiny group of people stand against the cancer of pornography that has metastasized in the United States. Even arguments against smut — that it hurts others, that it hurts ourselves (see the 8/20/02 study) — can sound tinny against the do-whatever-feels-good moral code of many Americans. God takes another view of the matter. The "foolishness" in opposing pornography shames the wisdom of the world. And the "weakness" in criticizing corruption highlights the frailty of the smut promoters. Though all who oppose smut might be mocked for their values, one day those values will prevail. There is evil, and there is good.
