When you are struggling with temptation, where can you find the peace that you need?   Practical help One definition of peace is the absence of conflict. Jesus is the way to peace in at least a couple of different ways. First, Jesus’ death and resurrection provide for resolution of the conflict we have with God because of our sin against Him. “Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 Second, when our minds are focused on Jesus, He gives us peace in the middle of difficult circumstances and in the turmoil we feel when temptations to sin come our way. We’re all familiar with the battle that rages in our hearts and minds when tempted to return to Web porn. “For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 Take action again today by doing three things: 1. Rejoice in the peace that Jesus gives you! 2. Turn your attention upon Jesus and thank Him. 3. Resist the pull of porn by standing strong in Christ.
