sayings and riddles of the wise. 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and
discipline. Questions 2. Which advantages are particularly useful in

help 2. Hang out with wise people (verses 5-6). 3. Avoid fools (verse 7). 4. Be ready for riddles as you struggle (verse
6). Some wisdom is hard to understand at first.
Don’t let this discourage you. Tired of trying to act piously? Seek wisdom. For
sure, avoid harmful behavior as you seek wisdom. But
realize that lasting resistance to web porn comes from
wise understanding, not merely good behavior.
Meantime, lift you head up. Many men who have switched
to wisdom have gone on to victory over web porn.
They’re cheering you on to do likewise.

Many men think the best way to resist web
porn is to become pious. This passage offers a
different approach: It tells us to become wise. The
two approaches differ as night and day. Piousness
emphasizes good behavior. Wisdom stresses good
understanding. Some steps to get started on the road
to wisdom:
1. Fear God. Praise, respect, love him
(verse 7).
