sexual desire. However, "lust" (as the word is used in
James 1:14) is the desire for something that is

But each one is tempted when he is carried
away and enticed by his own lust.
1. If temptation doesn't come from God (that
is the message of James 1:13), where does it come
from?
When tempted to view pornography on the web,
remember that the urge is not coming from God (He
doesn't tempt anyone). The temptation is actually a
twisting of a legitimate desire for sex that God
placed in you. You can be thankful to God for your sex
drive, while recognizing that pornography turns love
into lust, something that God never intended.
