Question What does it mean to be a peacemaker?   Practical help Some folks turn to porn as an escape from conflict with family and friends. Sound like you? The porn images don't give you lip or dis you. They're your friends. They're there for you. So why that empty, disappointing feeling the moment you switch off the smut? The images are gone, but your family and friends — the source of your conflict — are still around. If you want freedom from porn, consider seeking peace with the people in your world. It won't be easy. But here are some suggested steps: 1. Clear the air. Acknowledge the conflicts with your family and friends. 2. Seek outside help. Learn time-tested solutions from experts. 3. Read inspirational books and magazines. The Bible's Book of Proverbs is a great starting point. Check out Guideposts magazine. As you make peace with your real world, the lure of fake images will wane.
