Do you think Jesus really wanted people to do something this extreme to control besetting sins?   2. What sort of drastic actions can you take to curb an unhealthy habit?   Practical help In this passage Jesus wants you to understand the gravity of sin. Things that cause you to sin repeatedly have to be dealt with in a radical way. He uses graphic examples to make the point that you might have to give up something to keep it from leading you to sin.
