Passage: Proverbs 12:25-26 25. Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. 26. The godly give good advice to their friends; the wicked lead them astray. Questions 1. If you have a smut habit, do you worry about it? How do you deal with the worry?   2. Do you know folks bogged down in porn? What are ways you can help them?   Practical help If you're a Christian and worry about a smut habit, here's an encouraging word from Scripture (click here if you're not a Christian or are unsure): Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7 This passage urges you to: 1. Tell God your needs (e.g., deliverance from porn) 2. Thank him for the good stuff he's done for you (try finding five new things you can thank him for every day). Then do one more thing: Find buddies who are also struggling with porn and help them follow the advice above. Encourage them to tell God about their needs, and help them praise him for things he has done for them already.
