Practical help

When we come to that point in life where we begin to see how dire our situation really is and then learn about the gift of salvation God has made available to us through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, on the cross, the most logical thing in the world is to call out to Him. Immediately, He claims us as His own and we become members of His family — children of God. Because salvation was a gift to begin with, God will not take it back. Now what? Continue visiting porn sites? Granted, the temptations do not stop when we receive God's gift of salvation, but something is indeed different.

As proof, I would have to say that if this pornography thing were no big deal to you, you would not be looking at a three-minute Bible study right now. Sure the temptation is strong, but in your heart you long to have a closer relationship with God — to see God working in your life and using you for His purposes.

To me God is saying through this verse, "If you want to see me, purify yourself first."

He has saved you when you could not save yourself, but you can decide how pure you wish to become. It's your choice to see God working in and around you or not.
