Passage: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27*

24. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.

25. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

26. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air;

27. but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.

Question

Are you defeated in your porn struggle because you never expect to be victorious?

Practical help

It's Olympics 2000. A time to see those incredible world class athletes go for the gold.

I don't know about you, but every time I watch the Olympics at least two things happen:

1. I'm inspired to go and play a sport that I haven't tried in about four years.

2. I quickly realize why those athletes are at the Olympics and I'm not!

Are they all going to win a gold medal? Nope!

Do they seriously believe they can win a gold medal? Absolutely!

Try making your battle with porn a "Personal Olympics." Then look at the next temptation as a winnable race. You can know that we here at eXXit are on the sidelines cheering you on to the gold!
