strong in the face of sexual temptation. In a previous study, we looked at Hebrews 12:1 and
considered the race we are called to run. Today we see
who's standing at the finish line. Passage:
Hebrews

sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose
heart. 4. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet
resisted to the point of shedding your blood. Questions 2. What do you think about this claim? 3. If you are tempted today toward the instant

2. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author
and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before
him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1. Why is Jesus mentioned here (what did He
do, and where is He now)?
Your life is not a secret. In an earlier
study, we discovered a bleacher full (or possibly
stadium full) of fans cheering us on as our lives move
toward their ultimate conclusions victory or
defeat (see Hebrews 12:1). Verse 2 indicates that
Jesus is sitting on his thrown watching you and
calling you to run towards Him. Talk and share with
others what you are learning through studying the
Bible. Hold one another up in prayer today.
