Passage: Matthew 23:25-26* 25. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside will also be clean. Questions 1. How do greed and self-indulgence relate to porn addiction?   2. Is pornography the problem or a symptom?   Practical help Jesus knew that the key to real life was not to change habits but to change the heart. If you're able to conquer your porn habit by religious self-control, yet you're not able to conquer the heart attitudes that led you there in the first place, you will be in no better standing before the Lord than before. Better to start at the inside and work your way out. Dig deep, and if you still don't think you've found the root of the problem, dig deeper. Don't judge by men's standards; generally when we look at our fellow men we see only the outside of the dish. It takes real relationship to know the inside. Jesus seeks that kind of relationship with you, and he is able to see clearly to your heart.
