Practical help
The thrill of pornography inevitably gives way to disappointment. Depressed, we turn to other comforters — alcohol, entertainment, possessions or still more pornography — to dull the edge. Why not put our gloomy spirits to better use?
Psalm 51:17 says God "will not despise" a broken spirit. The reason? Hurting people who turn to him have responded appropriately to pain. So the next time you feel down in the dumps about porn, fall down to your knees and approach God. He won't turn you away.
