Practical help
Reformers always look for the root causes to problems. Let's not fight poverty — or drug abuse or teen pregnancy — they say, without figuring out what causes it. Otherwise, we spend all of our time studying effects instead of causes.
Not a bad idea. Instead of zeroing in on the effect — "MUST STOP VIEWING PORN" — let's try addressing the causes. As Jesus suggested, ask yourself what in your heart makes you desire Web porn? Bitterness? Insecurity? Frustration? Take up those issues in your prayers and see if the urge for porn subsides.
