Passage: Proverbs 28:13*

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Questions

1. What's the difference between confessing web porn viewership—and renouncing it?

2. How does mercy figure in this process?

Practical help

This verse has a twofold audience: web porn viewers and people who can provide mercy. The verse encourages the former to repent and reminds the latter to dispense help and grace.

If you need to repent of web porn viewership, be encouraged that godly people (many former viewers themselves) are ready to help you stand strong.

If you know people who are repenting of web porn viewership, be quick to their side—and steadfast in mercy.
