2. What are the steps for getting wisdom, according to the passage?

Practical help

Porn site operators are clever at trapping viewers.

Folks trying to resist the smut snares need to be cleverer.

The above passage suggests how. Namely by studying up on biblical cleverness — also known as wisdom and discipline (verse 2).

This is good news for at least two kinds of porn strugglers:

1. Those drowning in shame

2. Those who think they’re not strong or smart enough (verse 4a) to evade porn traps on their own

The above passage commends neither shame nor self-scorn.

So leave both to another day. Instead, commit yourself to learning the tricks of the wise. You’ll become better at giving the slip to smut.

And (bonus prize) the same tricks will help you beat other temptations as well (rage, jealousy, etc.).
