2. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.

3. Cry out for insight and understanding.

4. Search for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure.

5. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God.

6. For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Practical help

While resisting smut, you can lose your focus easily. Like by recalling your weaknesses and failures.

This passage says to keep your eye on the ball.

“Concentrate on understanding” instead of stewing in shame.

“Cry out for insight” instead of wailing about failing.

Instead, focus on getting (verse 4) what God is giving (verse 6).
