Passage: 1 Timothy 1:15-17*

15. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.

16. And yet for this reason I found mercy, in order that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience, as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

17. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Practical help

Some of you out there have decided that you can't expect God's help in getting off of porn because you've run out of chances. You've let God down too many times. You're just too bad.

So now your trying to rid yourself of this habit without Him and it "just ain't working!"

The Apostle Paul has some eye-popping news for you. He claims he was the worst of sinners, not you. And with the worst (that being Paul, not you) Jesus demonstrated His perfect patience. Now if Jesus was patient with the worst, what can you expect of His mercy? Could that be forgiveness? Could that be another chance to ask for His help? Could that be a "new you" that starts to win the battles with temptation? Could be!
