9. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,

10. so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ;

11. having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Practical help

So, what is "real knowledge?"

Maybe it's grasping, by experience or testimony, the true value in something.

What is the true value in pornography? Does it prove to be an excellent thing? If you evaluate its true value in your life our guess is you'll say no. If you haven't figured that out yet then we want you to know that here at eXXit we are praying for you. We are praying first that you have come to a saving faith in Jesus (if you haven't and want to, click here). Second, we're praying that by the fruit of righteousness through Jesus you'll begin to approve the things that excellent and reject the things, like pornography, that are not.
