Passage:
John 14:6*
Jesus said to him, "I am
the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father but through Me.
Question
Have you accepted Jesus at
His word that you may have obtain a destination, truth
and life through Him?
Practical
help
This is the last of six
studies on John 14:6. Have you ever considered what
Jesus meant when He said we can come to our Heavenly
Father only through Him? It sort of sounds like Jesus
is the gatekeeper, and He is telling us that if we
want an appointment with God, we need to coordinate
the visit through His office. It sounds like a common
business line, "Have your people contact my people,
dont call the CEO directly."
I dont think that is the
idea here at all. I believe He was thinking a little
more literally. The way to God is through Jesus
body. To become our doorway to God, Jesus knew He
would pay the price with His life.
John 3:16-18 says
"For God so loved the
world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have
eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the
world to judge the world, but that the world might
be saved through Him. He who believes in Him
is not judged; he who does not believe has been
judged already, because he has not believed in the
name of the only begotten Son of God."
Porn, as you know, is an escape
and an illusion. Jesus offers a way out, a truth you
can live by, and a real life that will only get better
with time not even ending in death. Its
free to you but wasnt cheap because it cost the
Son of God His life.
"And there is salvation
in no one else; for there is no other name under
heaven that has been given among men by which we
must be saved." Acts 4:12.
