Practical
help
Author C.S. Lewis often
asked his readers to try to imagine time from God's
perspective: no past, no present, no future. To the
creator of time, all of time is now.
Lewis' view can help us
understand Proverbs 23:18. The verse says "your hope
will not be cut off." But for believers stuck in time,
glimpses of heaven often pale in comparison to the
urgency of pornography. The lesson: Take a step back.
Try to pull yourself out of the heat of temptation to
see your struggle as God sees it, a small sacrifice in
the grand scheme of creation.
Your destination is glory. Spend
your time imagining it, not your cravings for
porn.
