Passage: Mark 8:22-25* 22. And they came to Bethsaida. And they brought a blind man to Him, and entreated Him to touch him. 23. And taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes, and laying His hands upon him, He asked him, "Do you see anything?" 24. And he looked up and said, "I see men, for I am seeing them like trees, walking about." 25. Then again He laid His hands upon his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly. Questions 1. Why did this blind man’s friends take him to Jesus?   2. What did Jesus do for him?   Practical help It’s hard to imagine the helpless condition of a blind person living in the time of Christ. This man’s friends (and the blind man also) must have believed Jesus was the only hope for their friend to receive his sight. Their friend’s blindness was a situation totally beyond their ability to fix. We face problems that are unfixable in our own lives also. Maybe it’s a porn habit that you have come to see as unfixable in your life. This man and his friends had heard about Jesus. “Could He really make the blind to see?” Jesus was their only hope. So they took their friend to Jesus and pleaded with Him to do the impossible. Jesus met the blind man’s need. Who else could? If you are struggling with porn, recognize that you are likely facing a problem that you can’t fix on your own. You have need for Jesus to step in and do the impossible. You can never fight the temptations to log on to those porn sites on your own. You need Jesus. Seek after Him with all your heart today, and if the sexual temptations assault you then you will be able to stand in His power.
