Passage: John 3:16-21*
16. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the
world, but to save the world through him.
18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not
believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and
only Son.
19. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men
loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
20. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into
the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it
may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Practical help
If you feel helplessly trapped in an addictive lifestyle, whether
it's web porn or some other snare like drinking, abuse, gambling, gossip, or you-name-it,
there's some really good news here:
- Jesus wasn't sent to condemn you but to save you, so you've nothing
to fear from him.
- If you haven't believed in him yet, you don't have to fix your
problems to become acceptable in his sight -- only believe in his name!
- If you have trusted in him, then you don't have to fear being
exposed, because he has guaranteed your eternal relationship with him.
Remember, eternity is a really, really long time, and the time you
spend feeling embarrassed or shamed over your exposure won't seem like such a big deal ten
or twenty billion years from now.
So, what are you waiting for? Accept God's loving gift and believe in Jesus' name. Trust
his grace and strength to overcome your failures, and confess your sin. Come into the
light and be seen plainly.
