Yesterday's study mentioned an incomprehensible freedom you attain
through Jesus Christ. (click here to see it)
In the second part of verse 12, Paul again testifies to his freedom
but claims it with a cautious surveillance of his liberty. Paraphrasing; Paul might be
saying -- I'm only living freely if I'm not enslaved to anything in this world.
What's a test for being 'mastered' by something like pornography?
- Do you frequently regret having viewed it?
- Are you ashamed of the activity, but do it anyway?
- Does it detour you from doing things that genuinely benefit yourself
or others?
Has this test shown you that you're not as free as you thought? Have
you permitted pornography to reign in you life?
If true liberty seems attractive to you, then take that bondage to
the foot of the cross. Jesus is waiting there to show what real freedom is all about.
