Question How many porn images do you store on your computer?   Practical help The passage above reminds us that earthly material won't last regardless of how well we store and safeguard it. If not stolen, it will be eaten or corroded. Likewise, porn images stored on our computers — or in our brains — will fade, if only because our jaded tastes crave raunchier material with each new day (what was sexy yesterday is boring today). Whether storing up stuff or smut, fatigue and disillusionment eventually set it. So much perspiration, so little permanence. No wonder Jesus invites us to trade it all in for heavenly treasure, so called because it's theft-proof, rust-proof, fatigue-proof, and disillusionment-proof. Generosity, love, respect, humility. These are the things that nurture the heart. They never become tiring or passé.
