you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.
Passage: Proverbs 1:33*
"But whoever listens to me [Wisdom] will
live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."
Question
If you're a porn struggler, what do you
fear the most?
Practical help
Whatever we don't do in faith brings on
its opposite — fear.
We know viewing porn is not an act of faith, so we
shouldn't be surprised when the habit engenders various kinds of fear
— of being caught, of living in humiliation, of sinking further into
the smut.
If you're caught up in such fear, the passage
above can be good news. It says your fears will go away if you listen
to wisdom.
Heeding it may take longer, but don't worry about
that now. Just take the first step: Listen to wisdom (read the Bible,
seek godly counsel, etc.).
Wisdom will prove to be a formidable persuader,
and in due time you will heed it.
Meantime, look forward to living with less and
less fear.
