What is the “Therefore” of verse 5 there for?   Practical help Dale Carnegie was on to something when he wrote the best-selling book, “The Power of Positive Thinking.” The Bible goes one better and challenges Christians with the Power of RIGHT Thinking. “Right thinking” entails reckoning with truth. The truth for the Christian is this: He has been made spiritually alive and he has been given resurrection life - the life of Jesus! These truths should dictate the way the Christian THINKS. He should consciously remind himself of the priorities of Heaven as he walks through His day - love, purity, grace, God’s Kingdom. AND he should consciously remind himself that he is now a child of the King, having been rescued (saved) from an eternity in Hell and sent on his way to an eternity in Heaven! Because of this, he has no business dabbling in “immorality and impurity.” “Right thinking” provides the power for victory over an on-going struggle with pornography.
