Practical help

This is a continuation of yesterday’s lesson. To review the parable click here.

I’m sure you have seen a two-way mirror before. From the one side, as you look at the mirror, you just see your reflection. From the other side, those in another room can see you. We think reality is the way we see it. This parable opens up a new reality. You are given opportunities to understand God’s truth by circumstances and events in your life, but Jesus reveals here that there are forces outside of yourself involved in your ability to understand truth. It’s really no accident that pornography grabs our emotions and imaginations. It is intended to distract, because when we are distracted, then we won’t be able to see real truth. In other words, seeds will be snatched away before we have an opportunity to understand.

So this is a moment of truth. You can click to something else or pause with the thought that there are spiritual powers in the world working to keep it away from you. If this is where you are, then pray for understanding and God promises He will give it to you.
