Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: Deuteronomy 4:9*

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

Questions

1. How does God encourage the Israelites to remember what they have learned?

2. How can we employ this strategy to beat Web porn?

Practical help

A familiar axiom goes like so: "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."

But in Deuteronomy 4, Moses throws in his own (amended) version: "Those who did, teach."

When it comes to our successes in our struggles against Web porn, we would do well to do the same. Reason: If we share with others how God has helped us exercise self-control, they will benefit from our fire-tested counsel. And we will enjoy a much-needed reminder.
