Practical help

Gluttons. Liars. Alcoholics. All of these people, in one form or another, are addicts, hoping to numb life's pain with the box of Twinkies, the little white lie or the hair of the dog.

Pornography serves the same purpose. It promises oblivion from a world of hurt and delivers ... nothing.

We would do better to follow David's self-reminder to "find rest, O my soul, in God alone." Nothing else will satisfy.
