Passage: Luke 21:1-4*
1. As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.
2. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
3. "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others.
4. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

Failed again?
Some Christian leaders would bash you for giving into temptation. "Can't you
get it together?" "Why not?" "Maybe you're not really a believer after all."
And so on.
Christ would have none of this. He hated sin more than anyone yet retained
enough perspective to celebrate small victories. Consider the story of the
poor widow. Seen from a limited point of view, she put a pittance into the
pot. Yet from the vantage of heaven, she outgave the entire congregation.
Perhaps God views our struggles with porn the same way. While we may be
"poor" in multiple victories, he celebrates our triumphs, pitiful and small
though they may seem. Maybe a hard-fought success in our weakest area
elicits God's highest praise: We "put in more than all the others."
