Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help
you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.
Passage: Luke 6:47-49*
47. I will show
you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them
into practice.
48. He is like a man
building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.
When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake
it, because it was well built.
49. But the one who hears
my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a
house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent
struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was
complete."
Questions
1. What steps should you follow (outlined
in verse 47) before you stand a chance at standing strong?
2. Have you considered taking that first
step? Do you want to?
Practical help
Imagine your car with a rusted-out frame,
a weak battery and bald tires. Now imagine you're traveling at 70
mph on a rain-slicked highway in the middle of the night and come upon
a sudden traffic jam. What do you think your chances are of
avoiding a serious crash?
Jesus wants you to know that, without a foundation
in Him, you're ill-equipped to survive collisions with temptation. He
wants you to take that first step of coming to Him. If you're not
sure how to do that, then click
here to find out.
