Practical help
When all else fails — including the encouragement of eXXit studies to
resist pornography — throw yourself on the mercy of God. That's the message
of 2 Timothy 2:13.
Paul has just enumerated a list of if-then statements, ending with this gem
of pure hope. If we prove faithless in the struggle, God will remain
faithful. The reason? His love does not depend on our actions. Though we
should try to succeed with every ounce of strength we possess, we rest
assured in the knowledge of his acceptance. No matter what.
In fact, the totality of God's grace should motivate us to forge ahead. Let
it undergird your every thought and action. He will not disown you because
he lives inside of you. And he cannot disown himself.
