Passage:
Hebrews
13:20-21*
20. Now the God of peace,
who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the
sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even
Jesus our Lord,
21. equip you in every good
thing to do His will, working in us that which is
pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom
be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Questions
1. Is your life restful
and full of peace?
2. If God, who raised Jesus from
the dead, offers to equip you, do you think He has the
power to do it? (This should be a
no-brainer.)
3. In what ways do you see God
working in you that will help you become pleasing in
His sight?
Practical
Help
Spiritual peace can be
ours regardless of our circumstances. We can have
physical, mental and emotional hardship (things
beating on us from our worlds) and still have a peace
that is beyond understanding. This peace comes from
the cleansing action of God's work in our lives as we
confess and repent (or turn) from what we know is
wrong (our sins).
There is no excuse for saying to
God that He is not showing you how to live. As you
become quiet today and reflect, may God show you what
would be pleasing in His sight. God Bless.
