he will be blessed in what he does.

Practical help
First, forget all the nonsense about health and wealth. God owns the cattle
on a thousand hills, but he didn't promise us our very own herds. A quick
read of the passage in James dealing with riches (5:1-6) should dispel any
illusions about the nature of material blessing.
And yet. James does have material blessing in view -- just not kind
denominated in dollars. In other words, if you sidestep pitfalls like
pornography, God will bless you ... with serenity. Think of the life of the
Christian porn addict: nervous, surreptitious, schizophrenic, angry,
defeated. Stay away from the sleaze, and all of these self-made woes will
never strike.
Give blessing a chance. Swear off porn and see if all of the problems you
brought upon yourself don't vanish. What do you have to lose? Only misery.
