God?
Practical help
In those moments when we are wrestling
with the nagging temptation to log on to Web porn, peace of mind is
the thing farthest from our experience. Our minds and hearts are in
turmoil. Our hearts pound, and our palms sweat. We become agitated.
Our minds are filled with images and the common self-justifications.
The battle rages on, and it may seem in those moments that the only
way to find peace from this relentless temptation is to follow its
course. We either give in to the lie of lust or we turn our minds in
the direction of the only One who can give perfect peace.
Having our minds stayed on Jesus means that we
lean hard upon Him or take firm hold of Him. We look to Him for all we
need, and we trust Him to help and sustain us in His grace — even in
the area of sexual temptation. With your mind stayed on Jesus, today
He will keep you in perfect peace. Go ahead and take hold of Jesus
right now.
