How would you describe the table that God has prepared for you and I?   2. What would it take for you to say that your cup was overflowing?   Practical help If you had attended a banquet in ancient times in Near Eastern culture, it would have been customary for the host to anoint your head with fragrant oil as a lotion. Hosts were also expected to provide for and protect their guests at all costs. God sustains and protects even when enemies surround us. His fellowship and blessing fill our hearts to overflowing. When you and I use pornography, it’s an attempt to meat our own needs and sustain ourselves. We leave God out of the equation. It doesn’t take long before our hearts are dry and empty. God never intended that we become self-sustainers. He desires to meet every need and sustain us in his love and grace. Smut is a poor substitute for the riches of God’s banquet table. Take a break from porn. Maybe what you need today is to see God as your Sustainer. Jesus is the one who fills the heart to overflowing! Porn just can’t do that. My Christian friend, your sins have been forgiven in Christ and you are a new creation.
