Passage: Proverbs 3:21-26*

21. My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight;

22. they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.

23. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble;

24. when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

25. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,

26. for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

Tired of raunchy sex?

The verses above tell how to restore civility to your passions, namely by letting wisdom adorn them with grace.

Here's what the writers of Proverbs had in mind when they used the word "grace" (verse 22):

graciousness, kindness, favor, beauty. From Hebrew word "chen" (Strong's Greek/Hebrew Dictionary).

If these qualities are missing from your current sex life, maybe it's because they're absent in your overall life.

The remedy is in verse 21: practice good ideas, and don't let 'em out of your sight.

Studying the Bible is one way to learn good ideas. An even better approach is to study it with friends who also yearn for graciousness in their lives.
