It may start by rationalizing that "I'm the victim!" — since you can't really control those "animal" instincts — and possibly ends with the convicting admittance that "I'm no animal!" Often the biggest hurdle for the porn struggler who wants God's help is to feel "clean" enough to face Him. Well, it's time to reassess that dirty feeling. The very fact that you don't feel clean enough to face God is the very reason that you should face Him. Knowing the guilt and shame for your behavior is a healthy fear of what you know you deserve for it. AND it's an opportunity to face God with the understanding that you can only be cleaned by Him.
