Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: I John 2:15-17*

15. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16. For everything in the world-- the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-- comes not from the Father but from the world.

17. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Question

What's wrong with being proud of what you have or do (verse 16)?

Practical help

What does a humanistic (worldly) sense of pride in what you've acquired or what position you've attained really boil down to?

Isn't it just a bucket of 'well dones' you pick up and pour all over yourself when you've stopped the hustle and bustle long enough to see where you rank? If you can check the mostly good column instead of the mostly bad, then things are cool.

Maybe that makes it easy to classify a porn habit?

I've got lots of respectable things and a respectable job – my porn habit doesn't seem to be moving me over to the mostly bad side – so everything's cool.

Well, everything's cool but your measuring tool. Sooner or later your going to do a status check and find yourself (if your honest) checking the mostly bad column. Now what?

It's time to trade in the world's standard for God's. He's offering you a deal that you can be proud to buy into. The price? Try FREE. The deal? Try a permanent position in the 'perfectly good' column.  The how? Click here!
