Practical help

If you don't know who Jesus is and what he's done for you then carrying your cross won't mean a lot. To find out about Jesus, click here.

If you do know Jesus, then you know he went to the cross and died for our sins. So what's Jesus trying to tell you here? Does he want you to find a cross and carry it someplace and then be crucified as he was?

Well, in a sense yes. Jesus is letting you know that the only way to break the of sin (past, present or future) is to be bound to him instead. He's saying that if you're not ready to be wholly identified with him, there isn't anything for you to learn from him.

If you are ready to call him Lord, then pick up your cross of "identity in Christ" and follow him. He's going to teach how to conquer any besetting sin — even a pornography habit.
